What I've been up to...

Although I've let blogging go recently that doesn't mean that I've not been drinking coffee. Far from it. In fact I think I've probably drunk more lattes in the last six weeks than I had in the previous six months. You see I got a little present for Christmas which has, for the most part, kept me at home rather than going to cafes.

So here's a video of me making espresso. Um, it's kind of long. Sorry if you feel like I might have wasted 7 minutes of your life...especially if you only drink tea.

I've not given up on going out. In fact, I've noticed a couple of cafes locally that I haven't tried yet, so there's still plenty to do! (Plus I still have two more Starbucks to finish off my "goal").

Hee Hee! The first two shots looked almost like little guinesses! That Mocha looked absolutely beautiful at the end though, that should be an art form! Who was your camera(wo?)man?

Thanks, Phiasmir. Yeah, I really like the way an espresso pours. It's even better if you have just ground the beans seconds before, but, alas, I need to save a few more euro before I can get a quality grinder. Apparently there are similarities between the way that coffee beans are prepared and roasted and how Guiness is made. As I don't drink the 'black stuff' I have become a bit obsessed with espresso.

The camera woman was my slightly-reluctant-but-ever-so-helpful good lady wife.

If you want to see some really great coffee art/latte art check this out.

Wow, pretty impressive. True works of art. Your cameraperson did a great job of filming. Now, since your own house is a coffee house you can start blogging from home. There you go.

David.

Wow, that latte art video was wonderful! Haha, I figured it was your wife, but you say "My wife's favorite drink", so I was wondering about that. Thanks for the link, I'm gonna be watching those for the next little while now!

Very impressive for more than just the coffee making and camera-work skills. I mean, how showhouse is your lovely tidy kitchen??!!!

:-)

PS delighted to see you back blogging again

Tidy kitchen? What do you mean? It always looks like that - yeah, right! The trick is to shove all the mess into the cupboard under the sink moments before the camera rolls.
